Cheri Cerghizan, RN, PMHNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She brings more than 20 years of nursing experience to her patients at Guadalupe Psychiatric and Mental Health Services in Los Lunas and Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Cheri earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at El Paso. After graduating, she worked as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Healthcare Services and the University of New Mexico Hospital psychiatric emergency services department and as a psychiatric consult liaison in the Presbyterian-Kaseman Hospital emergency department.

While working at the University of New Mexico Hospital, Cheri was named a Distinguished Preceptor of the Year in 2008. Soon after, she returned to school for her master’s degree. She attended New Mexico State University in Las Cruces and graduated with honors with a Master of Science in Nursing.

After graduating, Cheri earned her board certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She continued her career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the University of New Mexico Hospital and Presbyterian-Kaseman Healthcare Services Behavioral Medicine.

Cheri specializes in comprehensive psychiatry care at Guadalupe Psychiatric and Mental Health Services. She offers diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and related services for various mental health conditions, and she works with adult patients ages 18 and up.
